A symbolic painting representing Christ’s redemption.

The dead tree has tortuous branches and refer to the sinful heart: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it ?” (Jeremiah 17: 9) It could also be a reference to the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which eating of the fruit led humanity into sin and death.

The red sky represents the blood of Christ that cleanses the believing heart of all unrighteousness. The two shores separated by a precipice are the two possible conditions of the human soul: the sinful soul and the forgiven soul.

Amen... For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Very beautiful and meaningful painting. I really love the color choice in this painting. I would love to see more!

I have some more on the way. 5 paintings about Gaelic culture in Cape Breton. It's not so surreal, but interesting still, I guess. If I can find some time to work and finish them...

Very interesting perspective, Ket. I like the gnarled tree and the reference to the sinful, deceitful heart. I was actually reminded of that verse a little while ago. Great job!
